Track Season

Track Season summary: year sucked because always had to race fast people. i got stuck in random events like 4x200 and 400m because our sprinters suck. i eventually filled in for the 1600 and ran pretty consistent times. my main event was the 800 and the only decent race i had was @ esco and OG invite. i sucked ballz at league finals and CIF finals... (2:11) hope next year is better...

Ya i know my times suck.. but running is for fun :)
i hate people who brag... you know who you are.

Goals For Track:
800m- Valley league Champion, Qualify for state. sub 1:55
400m- sub 50
1600m- sub 4:30
3200m- beat alex serio
4x4- qualify for CIF A HEAT


XC SEASON 2004

BARON INVITE SUMMARY
um it was hot at Rohr Park. They extended the course a bit so the times were a bit slower. Anyways girls suprised me finishing 1st beating scripps ranch and UC (both good teams) The guys varsity didn't do so well finishing 5th. Alex Serio and Max Fishman both had decent races finishing 4th and 14th.
Order: Alex Serio, Max Fishman, Alex Avliez, Sam Wooley, Kenny Vexler, John Barlow,Ryan Burdick
JV Boys: i gotta race jv due to my 3 week injury. i ran 12:57 on a 2.3 course. 2nd place/167. jv boys placed 7th overall. david morningstar placed 35th (2nd on team)

Mt Carmel: Girls got 2nd overall team time of the day out of 64 teams. Boys team placed 16th overall. We ran decent. San Pasqual, St. Augustine, and La Jolla are all ahead of us at this point. I ran a 17:28 but i got beat by 4 USDHS kids who shouldn't have beat me :P o well.

Southbay
Girls took 3rd without Amber or Rachel. Boys took 5th out of 18 teams without number 2 runner Alex Avilez. Our back runners Wooley, Barlow, Burdick, and Vexler had bad races due to some injury problems. I ran a 17:25 with negative splits running a 5:20 last time. i seriously can run faster :p anyways we got beat by orange glen , san pasqual, and St. Augustine.... we gotta step it up if were gonna take league and CIF.

League (eh)

Ramona and Mission Hills Summary: girls jv got smoked but the girls varsity owned. they went 1-5 before the first ramona girl came in. boys jv also dominated ramona's jv team. guys varsity was hurt badly due to injuries. we lost by 10 points. our 3rd guy came in around 18:06 which proves how many runners were hurt that day. i had an asthma attack after running the first mile in 5:10. i think i ran in the high 18's... bad

San Paspual: Girls Varsity defeat SP and end their 4 year winning streak. they beat them up by 10 points even after amber drops out of the race due to a knee injury. Boys Jv again dominates and beats SP for only the 2nd time in school history. Girls jv loses and guys varsity puts up a decent fight. We were again without Sam Wooley, John Barlow, and Alex Avilez. Plus Alex Serio has a crap race and places 3rd. I ran a 17:36 and placed 7th i think in the race... right behind their number 3 guy. we only lost by 5.

Kit Carson Invite
My two cents... the girls should have won except amber and rachel were still recovering from their tri-atholon thing and trisha was gone. The boys varsity like crap. Alex Serio raced poorly and same with max fishman. alex avilez had a good race for returning (17:20). i ran a 17:30 which is pretty good for me, considering the course it kit carson. we placed 7th out of 17 large school teams. not bad eh

San Marcos Dual Meet
Easiest course ive ever ran... i ran like a 16:57 without effort. We dominated San Marcos pretty badly... All teams won :)

Escondido/Orange Glen Dual Meet
We beat up both teams. I ran a 17:14... because i was sick. Ryan Burdick beat me for the first time but he had a great race.
I had a crazy kick which was pretty sweet. Our girls of course won and guys jv are league champs

League Finals
Didn't plan to have a great race but i did. I ran a 17:34 on a 3.22 course. I beat Alex Avilez first time this year and was two places behind Max Fishman. I placed 10th in league which is awesome! Im all League hehe... Bri also placed 10th... cute huh.
Girls won league and guys tied SP 51 51 but SP won on a tie breaker to our 6th man. Sam Wooley was sick so David Morningstar is goin on with us. CIF YEAHH

CIF Finals
We finished first in DIII. Ryan Burdick stepped it up big time and ran a 17:43 and Alex Avilez ran a 16:47. Without them we wouldn't have won. Our girls also swept a title. I ran a 17:22 placing 4th on our team.

Alex Serio: Funny guy... acts really gay and i wouldn't be suprised if he was gay ? ehh actually im not sure but he has to have gender confusion once in a while. Sometimes you wish he would talk but sometimes you wish he would shutup.

Max Fishman: Probably the most dedicated guy on our team although he is a little too smart for his own good. Is way too nice and submissive, which are poor qualities for a team captain. but otherwise a great guy but no i wouldn't want to go to war with him... coach.

Alex Avilez: Bah another band nerd... we have enough already ahhhh! Least hes not a pushover like Max ;). am looking forward to him kicking everyone's butt in a few years.

Kenny Vexler: Small kid but ya don't wanna mess with him. won't take crap and can get violent. major pimp (hes gotten with janey sellers his frosh year then the girls fastest runner amber this year) S T U D.

Ryan Burdick: yeah haha he finally stepped it up and got into shape. although he still has slacker ethics glad to have him on the team. a great 5th runner and at least he runs consistent unlike most our team....

Sam Wooley: yeah probably the biggest flake but whatever. still glad to have him out running and hopefully he'll have a decent race and step it up when we need him.

John Barlow: His running career is over due to a stress fracture. he would have probably been faster than me, but yeah. not the same without him, but ill look forward to racing with him in track.

200 points to Baker for nailing both my parent's cars with a live trance cd on the freeway. 10 points to taylor for nailing a sign with a water bottle and 20 to each of us for starting a gang war with other another group of people. 5 points to paige for picking up another punker chick and 300 for Ryan hitting on my sister. 25 points for each of us for cutting in line too many times. additional 25 points to Taylor for the techno rave party in the van. minus 10 to everyone for the food fight in the van... but
50 points to Coleman for scoring me a free meal at McDonald's. 100 points for Baker for begging for enough money to buy a meal. bonus 5 for anyone who littered/vandaled the park

XC camp ~ big bear
yeah it was rather boring... but the MC and uni kids made it very interesting. sleeping bag fights, water balloons, lake run, quicksand, dead fish, southpark, red-rocket, chapelle show, anchorman, toilet overflow, ford van off-roading, anti-social vc guys, max's really lame jokes, racist joke telling, big guy "so called challenge run" , 24 mph bowling, riding up with coach, hour long volleyball games.

God changed my life in many ways
* I shouldn't try so hard to be a "good christian but instead put trust in God
* I surrendered every aspect of my life to God. There will still be thing I will struggle with but God is in control.
* Hopefully this isn't another camp high and I will continue to live my life for God.
* I run to glorify God not myself
